Exploring Lake Pearson on State Highway 73

Lake Person / Moana Run is a picturesque lake located along State Highway 73 (West Coast Highway). Lying between Goldney Saddle and the Craigieburn access road, this lake is an ideal spot for a relaxing break. With its inviting waters, it's perfect for a refreshing swim, and the surrounding willow trees offer shade on warm days. The lake is also a popular spot for fishing, with trout and salmon available in season. Additionally, there is a campground nearby for those who wish to extend their stay.

Nearby Lakes to Discover

To the north of Lake Person, you will find two smaller lakes that are accessible from the highway. Lake Sarah is situated 2.5 kilometres along Craigieburn Road, another remote setting to explore. Lake Grassmere, accessible via a private accessway. To the south on the highway, there is Lake Lyndon, just before the entrance to Porters Pass.

How to Get There

To reach Lake Person, travel along State Highway 73, the West Coast Highway. The lake is located between Goldney Saddle and the Craigieburn access road.

In addition to the nearby lakes, you can stop at Cave Stream and Castle Hill, a short distance to the south on the Highway.
