This viewpoint provides a stunning view of Walter Peak to the south across Lake Wakatipu, with Cecil Peak visible to the southeast. Additionally, you can enjoy one of the best views of the Remarkables by looking east from this location.
Activities at Seven Mile Point
Beyond the views, Seven Mile Point has opportunities for walking and cycling. The Seven Mile Point Track takes you around the coast and across the point through areas of native forest regrowth and exotic pines. The track leads to Wilson Bay, which features a charming lakeside beach next to the main road. The walk to Wilson Bay takes approximately 90 minutes each way.
How to Get to Seven Mile Point
Reaching Seven Mile Point is simple. From Queenstown, drive along the Glenorchy Queenstown Road for about 7 km. The reserve is just a few minutes away by car.
